When a local business with such a global reach came to us for monument signs in South Windsor CT, we were thrilled to be of assistance. When Challenge Sailcloth moved into their current location, there was already a monument sign in place, but it featured dimensional letters spelling out the previous tenant’s name. This would not do. Fortunately, our technicians knew how to remedy this situation.
What We Did for Challenge Sailcloth
Our first step was to meet with Challenge Sailcloth and talk to them about what they wanted us to do. They had an excellent logo, and they wanted it to be featured prominently on both sides of their existing stone monument sign. Based on their budget and surroundings, we decided to keep the vertical brick monument already in place and simply add dimensional letters to it. The client liked the idea, and once they approved the mockups we provided them with, we got down to work.
Instead of using laser cut aluminum, the fabrication process started with us creating a precise mold of the letters for the client’s logo and poured aluminum into the casts to make the lettering. This method of cast aluminum letters is more cost effective than laser cut and looks great. Once we had all of the letters and design elements ready, we precisely matched the colors of the logo to the hues Challenge Sailcloth uses in their other marketing materials. Lastly, we scheduled a time when we could install the dimensional letters without disrupting their business. In the end, the monument sign turned out beautiful, and the client was completely satisfied.
