According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics, there are over one and a half million nonprofit organization registered in the United States. With this level of competition for donations, it can be tough finding sponsors. One way to attract benefactors is to show your appreciation for those you have. This is exactly what the Connecticut Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association wanted to do when they contacted G-Force Signs & Graphics for sponsorship signs for nonprofits in Hartford County CT.
What Is the CT APDA?
Founded in 1961, the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) aims to find the cure for and ease the burden of having Parkinson’s disease. With these missions in mind, they have raised over $86 million that has been used in funding education, research, raising public awareness, and patient services. Part of the funding goes to support their national network of chapters, of which the Connecticut Chapter is a part.
When an organization that does so much to help people with Parkinson’s disease came to us for sponsorship signs in Hartford County CT, we were more than happy to be of assistance. They were gearing up for their annual Optimism Walks and wanted a way to say thanks to their donors. Fortunately, they contacted the right sign shop!
What We Did for the CT APDA
The first step in our sign making process was to meet with the client to discuss what they have in mind for their project. As a nonprofit, the CT APDA needs to avoid costs for items that do not directly serve their mission. However, they also need to show appreciation for their benefactors in order to attract more funds in the future. To achieve the above goals, we recommended cost-effective yard signs. Once the client approved the art proofs we provided them with, we got down to work.
For each of the signs, we started with a corrugated plastic panel. For the top of each panel, we used our cutting-edge large format printer to digitally print the APDA logo along with “CT APDA is grateful for our friends…” We then added the individual names of each donor to the panels. Lastly, we supplied the client with wire H-frames to make setting the signs up simple. Now, their sponsors will get the recognition they deserve at the client’s events. The CT APDA was completely satisfied with the work we did.
Let Us Help Your Organization
Yard signs are by no means the only way to thank your benefactors. In fact, banners tend to be an even more popular solution. Banners featuring your donor’s unique branding can be hung inside of your building as well as at events. If you host an annual golf fundraiser, you might also consider selling sponsorship branding placement on the flags for the holes. Don’t forget to ask for a little bit more for the 18th hole!
