Interior Signs

One of the places a company has almost complete control over it’s brand identity is the interior of their location. A company brand can be emphasized on several different types of signage and other media choices through the use of logos, imagery, colors, and graphics. Many of these elements translate well to signage options.

If a company is serious about their business brand, then custom interior signs are one of the best ways to establish and maintain that brand identity. Your company can greet its customers with a customized lobby sign, direct them to their location with branded wayfinding signs, and treat them with posters and wall graphics on their way to their location. Subtle details like the color of the wall, and the flooring used can also be part of that branded image depending on the location and the intricacy of the build out.

Your brand is more than your name and logo

Your company brand is more than just a name and logo. By adding signs customized for your company and location you can create a look that is unique and memorable. Utilizing specific elements outside of your name and logo can make just as much of an impression on your clients and customers as your company name. It’s something to consider when choosing what picture to hang in your waiting area, or what color your ADA signs should be.

For example: An office specializing in physical therapy for sports injuries would likely showcase images of athletes in action, a company focused on environmental conservation could display different landscapes and wildlife, and an architectural firm would likely display imagery of high profile building imagery that fit the current trends. Selecting the right images to represent your company brand is almost as important as the logo itself.

Interior Sign Basics

ADA Signs, Room ID, Nameplates

ADA-compliant signs contain braille and raised lettering. The letters need to be at least 5/8″ tall. Where these signs are installed is another factor for ADA Compliance. By comparison, Room ID and Nameplates are not required by law or regulation. They do however help people find their way efficiently and can be used to subtly show consistency of branding style for your company or organization. These signs most often identify cubicles, offices, conference rooms, and board rooms.

Directory & Wayfinding

Directory and wayfinding signs are very useful for helping people efficiently find the place they need to get to within your location. Having a directory list near your entrances will allow your clients and customers to find the proper location for their visit. Combine this with strategically placed wayfinding signs in the form of signs like door tags, hanging signs, or wall graphics while incorporating elements like brand colors and arrows and your clients will effortlessly find their way to the right place.

Etched & Frosted Window Graphics

Whether you run a mall store, spa, or an upscale bistro, nothing makes use of huge storefront windows quite as effectively as window graphics. Vinyl graphics are also useful in professional environments when applied to floor-to-ceiling windows surrounding conference rooms as well as other interior glass panes.

Etched & Frosted Window graphics are perfect for creating an upscale look for your windows. Additionally Etched & Frosted Window films can be applied as full coverage as a privacy film for your office space. This is great for office settings with large windows where it would be ideal to block visibility without blocking light entirely. If applied in this manner your company logo or other design elements can be incorporated to add a pleasing aesthetic and additional branding for your company.

Fabric Prints

Branding your company isn’t always about your company logo and colors. Creating the right atmosphere is just as important as your company logo. By using imagery that corresponds to your company brand throughout your location you can emphasize your brand image without the repetition of logos and colors. One of the best ways to display this type of imagery is with fabric prints. Fabric prints are lightweight, durable, and can include any high quality image that you choose.

With the help of our state of the art, large format digital printers, we can render any high-resolution photos you have on fabric and mount it on a frame, making vibrant fabric prints. Pick framed canvas prints of images that are relevant to your industry rather than decorating your reception area with generic framed paintings.

Lobby Logo Signs

A quality lobby sign will be sure to impress your clients and customers. These signs make good use of spaces that would have otherwise been blank or bare and help with inviting customers while informing them of who you are.

With the right media and color choices a lobby sign will add a great deal of aesthetic appeal. This helps your company establish and support its brand identity.

Mounted Prints

Signs can be used for many purposes. Mounted prints are one of the most versatile signage options available due to the wide range of mounting and finishing options. This means that mounted prints can benefit almost any signage project. Mounted prints can add a lot of value to your signage project whether you would like to showcase photographs, add lifestyle images to your decor, or create an informational museum display.

Wall Graphics

Your company branding doesn’t stop at the front door. The decor inside will help set the mood that your customers and employees will be spending their time in. Your company can seize this opportunity to impress your customers and will help your employees feel like they are an essential part of a successful business. Wall graphics can be something as simple as a logo on a wall, but can include many other elements like motivational statements, mascots, scenery, or lifestyle imagery that is in line with your brand identity.

Wall Murals

Take a moment to look at the walls of the businesses you like to frequent. You will likely find that a good proportion of them have images on their walls that go well with the services they offer. For instance, a spa or salon may have a whole wall devoted to a waterfall scene. Whether you realized it or not, these companies were boosting their branding and improving their overall ambiance with wall murals. G-Force Signs & Graphics is here to help you harness the power of these branding tools.

FAQs

Are there standard sizes for directory or name plate signs?

As is the case for most signage, everything is created to fit the specific needs of our clients. Therefore there are no standard sizes for directory or nameplate signs. There are many common sizes that will often work for a variety of different applications; however, there is no “one size fits all” standard. It’s best to discuss the specific details and goals for your project with your signage professional to determine what size and media options work best for your specific needs.

Sometimes my entryway is exposed to the weather. Do I need an exterior sign for that?

This does not necessarily mean it requires an exterior sign, but could possibly limit some media and mounting options to ensure there aren’t any problems. For example, dimensional letters should probably be stud mounted vs using double sided tape. This is something that should be discussed during your consultation to help determine what media options will work best for your unique situation. Things like location, exposure to the elements, viewing distance, and available space are all considered while selecting the size, material used, and mounting methods for interior signs.

What is the life expectancy for an interior sign?

This depends on the media used. Most often the interior signage lasts an extremely long time simply because they are not exposed to elements outside. As a result, there are a lot more media and finish options for interior signs than there are for exterior signs. Things like rain, wind, and direct sunlight as well as extreme temperature and humidity changes are generally not things to consider while selecting interior signs, as they are usually in temperature-controlled environments.

Would you work with our interior design staff to create the signs?

Absolutely! We often work with designers and architects to create signage. It may require a discussion with your designer about the best media options to create the look they are trying to achieve, but we are happy to work with our clients to come up with the best options for their needs.
