Sure, your business has signage, but when was the last time you updated your markers? Most exterior signs are designed to last, but just because your signage still functions, it doesn’t mean that it is doing its job. The graphics on Tire City’s lightbox cabinet were starting to look a little dated. That’s why they contacted G-Force Signs & Graphics for cabinet sign refacing in East Hartford CT.
What Is Tire City?
Situated on Silver Lane in East Hartford, Tire City has been serving the area for nearly fifteen years. Founded by Michael Gainer, they always give their customers more than they expect and never promise more than they can deliver. They carry custom wheels from top names, like Custom Wheels Unlimited, Boss Motorsports, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, Michelin, and Wheel Pros. Their technicians specialize in all things tire service.
When a business that does so much to keep local motorists safe on Connecticut roads came to us for cabinet sign refacing in East Hartford, CT, we were more than happy to be of assistance. They already had an existing lightbox cabinet installed on a pylon that they wanted to give a new look and fix the dented portion on the bottom of the sign. Fortunately, the contacted the right sign shop.
What We Did for Tire City
Our first step in this project was to go to Tire City’s location to check out their existing sign and chat with the client to find out what they had in mind for their new marker. The cabinet functioned just fine, but the graphics and substrate look like they were from the turn of the century or earlier. Also, near the bottom of the sign, there was a dent in the aluminum sign face. They wanted something more attention grabbing and professional. We suggested a sign repaneling, and based on their branding and existing artwork, we provided them with some proofs of what their updated sign could look like. Once they approved, we got down to work.
The graphics were printed onto vinyl using our large format digital printer. They were then added to two new formed panels, one for each side. The panels were custom designed to make the graphics jump out at the viewer. We also created new aluminum pieces with cut vinyl lettering to fix the dent on the pylon. Once the signage was ready, we worked with the client’s schedule to install it at a time that was convenient for them. First, we removed the old panels, cleaned out the interior electrical elements, removed the aluminum panels on the pylon, and then installed new panels and vinyl lettering.
In the end, Tire City was ecstatic about their new marker. Now, local consumers, who had previously ignored their tired old sign, will show renewed interest in their business.
